Story

For those that are not already aware, a long-standing employee of Alloy Sales and his family are currently going through some of the worst situations imaginable.

Nigel has been working for Alloy Sales for over 16 years and this summer his family were given some devastating and life altering news regarding his wife’s health and her future.

Between the regular hospital appointments, treatments, operations and the hell that she is going through Nigel still manages to turn into work at 7.30 and successfully complete his daily duties. As a business we are supporting them all as much as humanly possible and I wanted to give everyone the opportunity to do the same thing. I am sure not one of us can truly imagine the trials and tribulations that they must all be dealing with on an hourly basis. In school, in work, doing the shopping. Life is a constantly challenging and changing and the least we can do as a community is support each other through it.

Though thoughts and prayers show our compassion I would like to suggest that we all contribute a minimum of £10.00 as a Christmas gift to Nigel and his family. We have at least 30 employees all working together here and that £300.00, though not a lot in the grand scheme of things, will make a significant dent in the fuel costs that they are incurring as they travel the country going from one hospital to another. It will help towards a Christmas dinner so that they may enjoy their time together and not worry about cooking or over doing it.

This is of course voluntary, and the amount is only a suggestion, but I sincerely hope you can be a part of us just trying to make things a tiny bit easier.

UPDATE

Nigel's wife has unfortunately lost her battle with Cancer and passed away during the night of 21st November. We are all feeling the heartache at this devestating news and a number of tears have been shed in the office. Nothing can prepare a family, a husband, a child or a parent for this scenario no matter how long you have been fighting it or how much you have tried to prepare yourself.

Every bit of love and support we can muster will naturally be sent to Nigel, his children and all his family and friends effected by this very sad news. The donations have been more successful than first thought and with this in mind, we have adjusted the target value so we can try and reach £1000.00 - we are so close already and it would be a shame to miss out by just few pounds.

We are unsure as to exactly when we will see Nigel again so we shall leave this page running for a short while longer and then withdraw the funds and send them directly to him in due course.

Thank you all for your generosity and compassion during this time.
