I've raised £2250 to Buy an Apple iMac for The Blue Room - a new music therapy studio at Pound Arts Centre

The Rhythm Practice is a music therapy serice based at The Pound Arts Centre in Corsham, Wiltshire. We were established in 2021 and support the mental health and well-being of numerous groups and individuals in the Wiltshire area.
Earlier this year we were awarded a grant from Wiltshire Council to open a new space. This space is on the ground floor and has been designed to be totally accessible to anyone with mobility and disablity issues (our original space is located up a steep flight of stairs). The funding we recieved has allowed us to convert a studio pod at The Pound Arts Centre and equip it with a wide range of musical instruments. The space is called ‘The Blue Room’.
We are missing one piece of essential equipment needed for any hi-tech music studio, an Apple iMac from which we can run our recording software to allow us to record and use cutting edge sounds and applications designed to help make creating music accessible to anyone.
This piece of equipment will benefit all service users of this space which include individuals with special needs, disabilities and mobility issues. We are a small team of music therapists working with a wide range of clients from different backgrounds and all with differing needs of support. This new space is truely inclusive and is based at the heart of a wonderful community arts centre.
The space is opening in September 2024 and the addition of an iMac at the hub of the control room will throw open the possiblities of what can be achieved in this space.
