Story
The Attic Theatre is a professional independant theatre based in Stratford upon Avon. We produce 11 shows a year in the venue along with working on corporate events, outdoor productions and welcoming visiting companies.
When the pandemic hit the entire venue was moth balled and the company have survived for 12 months on rent funding from the local council to cover overheads and the kind financial support of our loyal fanbase.
This July we hope to reopen The Attic and produce an outdoor Shakespeare festival running over 4 weekends. This event will include three Shakespeare plays a day which will star local professional actors working alongside The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Acting students. These shows will last up to 90 minutes and will be rehearsed in just 3 days.
due to the lack of income because of our forced closure we are looking to raise £5,000 which will go towards the careful marketing of the event and wages for the creative team.
We want to celebrate the return of theatres in July which is a key element of Stratford upon Avons tourist trade which has suffered badly throughout the pandemic. Along with supporting the new generation of actors who have had their studies disrupted and finally supporting many creatives.
