I live on the strand so we use the back beach on a daily basis, if fact We refer to it as our back garden! We have great love and respect for this beautiful space, but unfortunately not everyone treats it in such a way.

The levels of rubbish and litter have been at an all time high over this past weekend with the fantastic weather.

So with this is mind I’m starting a “Back Beach Crew”

My aim is to educate the people using the beach and leaving their rubbish behind.

We have stated a Facebook group and have had a great deal of positive response from other local residents

So..my reason for starting this just giving page is for funds to help with the campaign to save our back beach from litter!

I want to get some professional posters made up to get the message across, bin bags to give out, and t-shirts for our crew to wear whilst on the beach talking to the beach users and promoting our campaign! One of our supporters is currently working on a logo.

We also aim to take this off the beach and into the classrooms passing on our important message to the next generation.
