Story
Overnight on the 5th September 2017, the island of Barbuda was all but obliterated by Hurricane Irma. 95% of the island was wiped out – the hospital, schools, shops, homes all gone. Reports state that the island needs to raise close to $225 million to build again, and we are holding this fundraiser as our contribution to help the people of Barbuda start to rebuild their lives.

6 years agoWe are holding a Golf day on Thursday 5th July 2018 to raise awareness of the challenges still facing the island of Barbuda. We are delighted that Sir Richie Richardson will host our Golf day, and with other Friends of Barbuda, we hope to raise £15,000 to help buy goods and materials needed to help rebuild homes and schools. Her Excellency, Karen-Mae Hill, The High Commissioner for Antigua and Barbuda, has given her support to our event and fundraising, and will help us going forward with delivering goods to the island later this year.
