Story

The new Birmingham Railway Carriage & Wagon Company was formed in 2014 as a not for profit organisation dedicated to keeping the memory of the original company alive and fill gaps in the nations collection of heritage diesel and electric rolling stock. We plan to keep the skills needed to hand build these wonderful pieces of our history alive, training a new generation in the techniques needed which are being lost to the current production line kit building methods.

The project ready to take a step forward is the Blue Pullman De-Luxe train from the 1960's, which were lost because of their blue asbestos content. We are aiming to build a wooden replica of the cab so we can boost our fundraising activities at gala's and other special events at heritage railways around the country.

You can help by making a donation, no matter how big or small, or by becoming a member of the BRCW Support Group which will officially launch shortly. Memebership is £10 per year, £50 for life membership and £100 to join or 100 Club, which will give you benefits such as priority booking for rail tours and company events along with exclusive items of merchandise as our range of goods expands.

You can visit our website or join our facebook goup for more information.
