I'm raising £2,000 for a Baby Basics UK.

Baby Basics UK is a volunteer-led charity that provides essential items to new mothers and families who are struggling to meet basic needs.

To raise funds and awareness for this important cause, we are running a community-sponsored read. This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and encourage a lifelong love of reading while making a real difference in the lives of others.

Here’s how it works:

• Participants of all ages are encouraged to spend a small amount of time each day reading – whether it’s books, comics, magazines, poems, recipes, or even instructions!

• Friends, family, and community members can sponsor this reading effort, with all proceeds going directly to Baby Basics UK.

• These funds will be used to provide books to the families we support.

We’ve partnered with Grace McSharry (The Book Nook – in Partnership with Usborne), who will generously donate up to 10% in free books based on the total amount raised. These books will be donated to families supported by Baby Basics UK, spreading the joy of reading even further.

Our fundraising goal is £2,000, which would give us an additional £200 worth of books – a total of £2,200 in life-changing resources.
