Want to make a difference to young care leavers this Christmas?

We are a team of volunteers who are passionate about ensuring no young person who has experienced care to be alone on Christmas Day. We are raising money to bring 50 young people who have since 'left care' to gather together, with volunteers and the community to have an AMAZING Christmas Day 2022.

Many of the young people have grown up in the care system, others have been displaced as a result of war and most have experienced abuse or trauma throughout childhood, becoming some of society’s most vulnerable people. Christmas is a time to get together with family and friends, celebrate the season, play party games, enjoy each others company, have a wonderful meal... and watch a cheesy Christmas film...or three. However, Christmas can be a lonely, isolating time for young people who leave care and do not have anyone to spend Christmas day with.

We want to change that. This is our 4th year in Bradford of The Christmas Dinner. After two years of delivering a remote Christmas, this year we want to raise funds to go all out on a fantastic Christmas day so our young people who have left care know they matter, and show them we as a community are here for them.
