Story

I have set up this fundraiser for George Major who has spent his life, pension & every bit of money he owns running The Cockney Museum in Stoneleigh.
Quote that made me set this up for him :
FROM THIS THURSDAY MIDNIGHT IT IS EXPECTED A LOCKDOWN IF ANYONE WANTS TO COME TO THE MUSEUM THIS WEDNESDAY OR THURSDAY BETWEEN 10AM AND 4PM JUST RING ON 07708194075 OR 07884341897 AND I WILL OPEN UP FOR YOU.
I JUST HOPE THAT I CAN SURVIVES THOUGH THIS LOCKDOWN, I WOULD BE VERY DISAPPOINTED AFTER ALL MY HARD WORK AND MY 63 YEAR DREAM AND TO SAVE OUR GREAT PEARLY HISTORY.

After seeing this heartbreaking message I got in touch with George and asked to do this for him. All funds raised will go to him for overhead fees to keep his dream living on.
My great nan and grandad were pearly king and Queen and I think its important for children and adults to learn about the history.
Message sent from George:
What a thoughtful thing of you, to me it is our great Pearly History that must continue so that others can learn from it, I use to give talks to schools before this virus started for many years, and been lucky enough to meet some of them children with a family of their own and tell their children this is George who I told you about, he then tells me how his life had change after hearing my talks, and does a lot for charity himself.
That’s why I shall be inviting schools to the Cockney Museum which tells them that their is Moore pleasure in giving than taking.
So yes I would be happy for you to raise funds to pay for overheads while unable to open.

With this second lockdown It is so important to support your locals and try and keep everything as normal as can be. I'm hoping to raise enough funds to get him by we fees and general maintenance.

Please give anything you can. Much appreciated.
