I've raised £10000 to support Waterloo Orphanage and neighbouring villages in Sierra Leone

Join Ayaz Gani and Salauddin Shikora in their mission to raise £10,000 for the Waterloo Orphanage in Sierra Leone and neighbouring villages.
The recent monsoon season has wreaked havoc on Sierra Leone, with relentless rains in August 2023 devastating homes, destroying crops, and disrupting livelihoods across the region. Thousands of families were displaced as floods swept through their communities, leaving them struggling to rebuild amidst overwhelming challenges. The need for support has never been more urgent.
Since 2018, the Waterloo Orphanage’s annual running costs have been sustained through the kindness and generosity of friends and family. This support has ensured the well-being and future of over 250 orphaned children. But the impact of this initiative extends far beyond basic care; it empowers the children and surrounding communities by promoting education, hope, and self-sufficiency.
Now, this effort has grown into something even more meaningful. It has been formally launched under ‘Connecting Hearts’ by The Connect Hub, a compassionate initiative due to be officially registered as a charity in December 2024.
On 28th November, Ayaz and Salauddin will travel to Sierra Leone at their own expense, ensuring that 100% of your donations will be HAND-DELIVERED to those in need.
Every contribution will make a direct and life-changing impact on families and children who have been affected by the devastating monsoon conditions this year.
Your generosity is more than just a donation - it’s a lifeline for families devastated by the recent floods. Together, we can provide not only immediate relief but also the tools to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
Let’s come together to make a lasting difference. Donate now and join this impactful journey to change lives.
