Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Having spent 9 years as a police dog handler in the RAF and now finding myself as a trainee Vicar (curate). When an e-mail came round asking for us to think about ways we could raise much needed funds to support the churches work in the community and a charity. It seemed a good idea to suggest climbing our church tower 500 TIMES!!! to the equivalent height of Mount Everest. With an incredible amount of enthusiasm (from those not having to climb the tower) the start date of the 09th of November was chosen with one week being allocated for this crazy curate to climb Mount Everest (or the equivalent height of anyway).
With your help I am hoping to raise money for the incredible outreach done through the church in supporting the local community, from their connections with the mothers union, the local schools, care home and the local food banks, to the support given to those most vulnerable through phone calls and home communions (when permitted).
Covid 19 has led to so many people struggling but it felt wrong just to focus on our own community and so we decided that half the money raised should go to the INF. They're work is well known by many in our community as The previous Vicar's son worked in Nepal and had friends that worked for INF as did the current Vicar's in-laws. Please help me to raise money for St Mark's church and the INF, if you can.
My huge thanks go out to those businesses who have agreed to sponsor me as I attempt this crazy endeavour, Quiggin's Original Kendal Mint Cake, David Willan Quality Fresh Foods , J.G. Mason and Son (Building Contractors and Joiners), Brewin dolphin, and Crosby Granger architects.
