Story

Hello,

We are asking for your help. We are in desperate need of books for our new library boat and we would be incredibly grateful for any amount that you are able to donate.

The pupils at our school, The Crescent Academy in Meir, really enjoy reading. Unfortunately, our old library had to be turned into a classroom several years ago, leaving us without a library space. As you are probably aware, school budgets are limited and we have saved over time to buy a library boat. You may have seen in the Sentinel that the boat was delivered before Easter. Now we need your help to fill it with wonderful books, that will inspire all of our children to read and help to encourage parents to support reading at home.

Throughout the school there are 700 children from Nursery to Y6 who will be accessing the new library. This is a great opportunity to help improve our love of reading. It will also help all of the children to develop this important life school and maybe one day become a future employee!

If you are interested and able to make a donation, we would be honoured to have your company logo on our library boat. This will make it clear to all parents, children and visitors that you have supported us in our library project and helped to support reading in the local community.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our project and thank you in advance for your support.
