The Dales Community Pop choir was established in September 2015 by Yorkshire Dales musical director Debbie Allenby. Our choir of 50 members, from all backgrounds, travel from all over the Yorkshire Dales to come together weekly in Leyburn to sing, make friends and have fun. We specialise in pop music from all decades and contemporary show tunes, singing in four parts with our fabulous accompanist Paul.

Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances, we are unable to get together for our weekly rehearsals in person, however, we have come together, of sorts, through the magic of Zoom. A real favourite of the choir is the song 'Mr Blue Sky' by E.L.O. and one of our choir members (who is also a local GP) re-wrote the lyrics to reflect the importance of social distancinging. Choir members recorded themselves and sent it to Debbie who has painstakingly edited it so we can share it with the world. Enjoy. Please donate, and stay safe.
