    Story

The Edwin Davis Memorial CIC was founded to raise money for Show Up in memory of Ed Davis, my husband, who committed suicide in 2018, following a lifetime of poor mental health. It is an attempt to create a way of building children's resilience, through drama workshops and drama productions so that they can also build a good attitude to their mental health and be happy with themselves!

I spent my career as a Drama teacher in secondary schools across England and saw the value this subject had in creating confidence and resilience in young people, both invaluable life skills and ways of ensuring good mental health.
