Story

As many people already know, Cheltenham’s well known and much loved ‘Flower Man’, Mark Morris, was sadly diagnosed with Motor Nurone Disease in the early 2019.

Mark has battled this debilitating condition very bravely and with such dignity since then and has enjoyed making memories with his family to leave them with some very happy times to think of when he is no longer here.

One of Mark’s wishes, is to have a bench in Cheltenham in his name; somewhere for people to come and sit, to remember him and to chat to if they need someone to listen.

Fortunately at present, there is a bench available opposite Mark’s beloved Flower Stall on the Promenade.

The Team at The Flower Man would love to be able to have this bench sponsored for him, and to have a plaque placed on it, when Mark is no longer with us, in accordance with his wishes.

The Flower Man were hoping to fund this by ourselves, but following the Coronavirus pandemic, we sadly aren’t in a position to be able to at the moment. However, due to Mark’s situation we still want to secure the bench sooner rather than later if possible. So we are appealing for support and donations, if you feel able. Any money left over in addition to the bench costings will be donated to Mark’s chosen charity; MND Association.

Thank you for taking the time to read our appeal.
