Story
Hi! We’re Jude and Pops, a mother/child duo who are going to be walk/running the 70 mile Cumbria Way route over 4 days - starting on the 31st of March. We’re going 1980s style…catch us doing aerobics up in the hills, dressed to the 9s in as much colour and flair that we can muster.
We’re hoping that our flamboyant escapade will encourage people to help us raise money for a really important cause that is close to our hearts. At least 1 in 20 children in the UK have experienced child sexual abuse (CSA), and 500,000 children are sexually abused in the UK every year. The Flying Child is an organisation, led by CSA survivor Sophie Olson, that provides Survivor & Practitioner Side-By-Side training to professionals including social workers, midwives, GPs, and teachers; as well as providing creative support groups for adult survivors.
If you can spare a few pennies or pounds for this important work we would be really grateful - and might even manage a few extra jumping jacks!
