It is with great sadness that we heard that Professor Simon Frostick, Orthopaedic Professor at The University of Liverpool and Liverpool University Hospitals has lost his long fight with cancer. In 2019 his friends and colleagues in The Liverpool Upper Limb Unit established a foundation to support initiatives aimed to improve orthopaedic care in Liverpool; funding education, research, and indeed any project that may improve patient experiences. The foundation, named in Simon’s honour is currently seeking charitable status. Information about the foundation can be found on its website.

Simon was pleased that he lived to see the inception of the foundation; agreed with its aims and objectives; approved of the website and was proud that his endeavours and his legacy would continue in its work.
