Hello, we are The GEC - The Gender Equality Collective. We are a not-for-profit company with a singe aim: To end gender imbalance in the UK.

The only way we will achieve this is by working together (that's why we are a collective) because it's only by bringing everyone together that we can create huge shifts (we've all seen the sardines scene in Finding Nemo). Our GEC Best Books 2019 list is just a small example of what we can do given 30 days and a lot of enthusiasm. Imagine what we could do in 60 days...a month...a year...you get the picture.

So let's work together! You can donate your time, your expertise, your books, your products or just your logo and your pledge to equality. If you can't donate any of these then we'd love for you to donate a little cash. We'd like to see this whole list of books available to every child in the country - but let's start small - 100 of the 250+ books on our list to donate to GEC-committed school libraries around the UK.
