The Gibbon Rehabilitation Project was founded in 1992, the same year it became illegal in Thailand to own/hunt/use gibbons (and other wildlife). Unfortunately this has not stopped the trade and every year thousands of tourists pay a small sum to hold and take pictures of these endangered animals. They do not realise or care that for that one photo, 10 to 15 gibbons have been killed.

Because of this, GRPs work never ends. They have been reintroducing rescued gibbons since 2002. From a population of 0 in Phuket, they have managed to return a healthy, breeding population of 27 and counting!

But this hard work needs our help. Completely reliant on donations, the GRP struggles to fund their vital work. This is where we come in.

In December I will be running a 5k colour run. I do not run. I often just die. So this will be a huge challenge for me. But I want to help this project and I think it is beyond worthy of our help.
