Story

Support Free Sustainable Crafting Workshops in Southport!

The Hearth Network is a CIC in Sefton working to build a more sustainable, connected, and creative community. We're raising funds to run free textile upcycling and mending workshops that help reduce waste, support local people, and teach practical, thrifty skills.

In the UK, over 200 tonnes of textiles go to landfill each year. Our workshops help divert waste by teaching people how to repair, upcycle, and creatively reuse clothing and fabric, extending the life of garments and reducing the need to buy new.

Your donation will help us:

Pay skilled facilitators fairly

Provide nutritious, locally sourced, plastic-free refreshments

Promote events to those who will benefit most

These sessions also offer a supportive social space, where people can connect, learn, and build confidence in their ability to live more sustainably and affordably. From clothes mending to bunting-making for our Great Big Green Lunch, every workshop is a step toward a greener, thriftier future.

Every penny goes directly to delivering these community-powered projects. Thank you for helping us make a difference 💚
