Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
The coronavirus lock-down is very quickly draining Club financial reserves and, without your donations (which will go towards vital running costs including utility bills, rent and insurance) The Holbrook Club will not survive the pandemic.
The Holbrook Club has been providing a vital service to the Horsham community for over 16 years. We offer the widest range of sporting & leisure activities anywhere in Horsham, and have helped the community celebrate birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and the lives of those we love most dearly.
The Holbrook Club is a not-for-profit organisation led by (unpaid) volunteer Directors.
Despite Government financial support packages, the Holbrook Club is in a position where it may not reopen. Our main source of income (membership subscriptions) has dropped dramatically since the start of the lock-down. In addition, we are suffering from the loss of secondary income from the bar, fitness classes and private events.
We are asking you, our friends, our public and our patrons, for your support, so that when this lock-down ends there is actually a Club to come back to. Any donation you make, no matter how small, could literally keep the Club doors open.
If you have ever enjoyed an event with us, ever visited for a music night or were one of the 400+ people that packed out our bars to watch England football team perform magnificently in the Summer of 2018 then we ask for your help now in our time of need. If we disappear, part of your community will be lost forever.
The Holbrook Club needs you.

It would be very sad to see this local club close. I have played table-tennis, badminton, tennis, stoolball, Pilates, darts, quizzes and dancing there.

About the fundraiser
Horsham, West Sussex
I am one of the 8 Directors of The Holbrook Club. I joined The Sunallon Club back in 1982, before it became The Holbrook Club in 2004. Like many members, I mainly use the Club sports facilities, but I also attend social events like band nights and big-screen football matches.
