The Hornbeam Hideout is in need of funding to support our running costs.

We provide a natural, educational space that is safe and inclusive for all who wish to attend our sessions. Forest school sessions are child led, very flexible and adaptive for children to access learning in a way that works for them.

Our purpose is to provide people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities with the opportunity to build self-esteem, relationships, a connection with nature and access learning opportunities in an organic and informal setting. Our foundation of holistic development supports the needs of the individual to help them grow and achieve.

Nature connection is a big thing! Current research studies are further exploring nature connection and learning so we are excited to have more evidence for what we as practitioners already know!

There is an urgent need for more alternative provisions such as The Hornbeam Hideout. Being outside and in nature removes pressure for those that struggle in buildings, need sensory accommodations that cannot be met inside or in a classroom setting. At The Hornbeam Hideout animal interaction is provided as part of the resource which along with therapeutic benefits, helps build communication, understanding emotions, building self-esteem as well as a learning opportunity.

The Hornbeam Hideout is providing a very unique alternative setting for these children and families.
