I've raised £5000 to help to fund a funeral for an amazing young Upton Upon Severn man who sadly took his own life after mental health issues and being bullied

On Saturday 7th October at 1am, a 19 year old young man called Christie tragically jumped into the River Severn in Upton after ongoing mental health struggles which became unbearable and led to his suicide after young adults verbally bullied him in a local pub.
The emergency services deployed immediately after being alerted and included police, police diver units, fire service boats and Volunteers from Severn Area Rescue Association who searched all day until they recovered him on Wednesday 11th October.
Christie was a wonderful part of his family and community and left behind his 2 younger sisters, 2 brothers, mother and loving family who are struggling to find income to give him the respectful, loving send off he deserves amongst the devastation of their grief.
Mental health is an issue which is not spoken about enough which leads to people of all ages, genders and races too ashamed to speak out and seek the help they so desperately need.
We are hoping the community can help give him a respectful and loving send off with any extra funds raised going towards helping charities such as Papyrus, Calm or Mind that reach out to young adults and children who need support before it is too late and young lives are cut drastically short.
Any help and shares are greatly appreciated for this cause....Christie was an intelligent and always happy and loving young man who worked hard and did all he could for those he loved. His loss has left a devasting hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him...whether spotting him walking along lost in his earphones or his cheeky filthy laugh when he was making mischief! Please help us give him the goodbye he so deserves. Thank you
