Story

My name is Fiona; I have contemplated quietly for quite sometime to carry out a Skydive. I decided to take the plunge and book one for July 2026. Whilst pondering over the decision, I realised that I would like to do some fundraising for two particular charities which are detailed below: -

The Ivy Project

Steve Milton and his wife Michelle were blessed with Ivy Milton who was born in November 2020. Ultimately this was not an easy time for them as Ivy was born with Spina Bifida, with many Hospital visits over the 4 years, countless operations and many admissions for Sepsis, through all this, Ivy was always smiling, every picture you saw of her, she was smiling and happy, such a beautiful little girl. Ivy sadly gained her angel wings far too soon in early 2025 at a North East Hospital. Steve and Michelle wanted to take Ivy home to spend as much time with her as they could, however the County could not find the appropriate measures to be able to allow Ivy to return home. Eaves Funeral services, did however, manage to sought out a Cuddle Blanket from Carlisle and travelled to collect to get Ivy home.

The main purpose of my fund raising, is to raise money for the Ivy Project, whereby Steve and Michelle are raising money to purchase Cuddle Blankets to be able to give grieving parents the gift of time with their children after their passing. Cuddle Blankets range in price from £1,000 to £5,000 and any donations would be greatly appreciated for this heart-breaking cause.

The Arabella Adventure Memorial Playground – Beckstone Primary School

Arabella Kelly, a funny, caring and inspirational, not to mention courageous little girl, at only 2 years old was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour in 2018, went through brain surgery and treatment and rang the bell, however at a 3 month check up another tumour was found and Radiotherapy was given, Arabella was tumour free for 5 years but sadly relapsed, Arabella gained her Angel wings at the tender age of 9. Arabella started at the nursery in Beckstone Primary School, Harrington and continued through the school, where she was popular with many of her teachers and friends, she absolutely loved her time there, where her parents said she thrived when she was there.

The main purpose of my fundraising for this, that a memorial playground is being erected at the school, for the children to enjoy for years to come. It is being themed around butterflies, pinks, purples to mention a few of Arabella’s favourite things. Arabella will always be remembered and she was taken too soon.

All funds raised will be split 50/50 and donated to the relevant causes. Please help me get to my target.
