    Story

Zak, Arun, Tom, Bill (and Annie) are gearing up for the Mongol Rally 2018! Here's a quick summary of what we're letting ourselves in for:

The Mongol Rally: the greatest motoring adventure on the planet.

The rally thunders 10,000 miles across the mountains, desert and steppe of Europe and Asia each summer. There’s no backup, no support and no set route; just us, our fellow adventurists and a tiny 1000cc car that can barely pull us out of our driveway, let alone up the mountains of the Pamir.

If nothing goes wrong, everything has gone wrong.

'Bollocks' to tarmac, GPS and gadgets that help you find your navel. The Mongol Rally is about getting lost, using our long neglected wits, raising shed-loads of cash for charity and scraping into the finish line with our vehicle in tatters and a wild grin smeared across our grubby faces. Neither our car, nor our lives, will ever be the same again.

The rules of the rally are gloriously simple…

    1. You can only take a farcically small vehicle of 1 litre or less

    2. You’re completely on your own

    3. You've got to raise a shed-load for charity

We are raising money for Cool Earth - a fantastic non-profit that works alongside rainforest communities to halt deforestation, save our rainforests and stop climate change.

“Helping Cool Earth to halt tropical deforestation makes a real difference. Perhaps the biggest difference we will make in our whole lives.”

    – Sir David Attenborough

If Attenborough can get behind it, so can we.

We will be blogging and vlogging our adventures, so if you donate and would like to watch and laugh when we breakdown in the middle of the desert and have to be towed by a camel, you can find us on our facebook page (give us a like on https://www.facebook.com/thekulandudes/) or blog (kulandudes.wixsite.com/blog).
