Story
On the 11th of June 2023, we will be attempting the biggest One Day Challenge we have ever done in hope of raising funds for the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK. Taking inspiration from the “The Longest Day!” Youtube video documentary from Global Triathlon Network channel, we will be completing the following activities within 20 hours:
1) Walking the 8-mile Ranger Path to the mountain peak of Snowdon.
2) Cycling 39 miles from Snowdon to Cadair Idris.
3) Walking the 5.5-mile Pony Path loop to the mountain peak of Cadair Idris.
4) Cycling 101 miles from Cadair Idris to Pen-y-Fan.
5) Walking the 4-mile Path to the mountain peak of Pen-Y-Fan.
BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK, but sadly every day hundreds of people still lose their lives. Ross would like to honour the support BHF have shown to his dad, by donating half of the funds raised towards their goal to a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases.
Commemorating the memory of Kacper’s dad who has sadly lost his battle to bowel cancer back in 2013 – the other half of funds we raise will be donated to Cancer Research UK, and more specifically Bowel Cancer Research. Thanks to advances in research, more than half of the people diagnosed with bowel cancer today will survive their disease for at least 10 years. Their work has played a vital part in this progress. Every little penny raised by us, will contribute towards their goal of seeing 3 in 4 patients surviving the disease by 2034.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Please give what you can to help us hit our target. All the donations will be collated by us and sent off to the two organisations.
