I've raised £10000 to support Glasgow primary school children to grow their own oak trees which will be planted at The Lost Woods

Our project The Lost Woods aims to encourage all primary school children to grow a tree from seed, nurture its growth and help rewild Glasgow with their baby oaks. We want to create beautiful green spaces for all to enjoy - The Lost Woods - and create a wonderful legacy to the COP 26 Climate Summit in 2021.
In March, we distributed acorn seeds to primary school pupils across Glasgow to help focus children’s attention on growth and positivity during the lengthy virus-enforced school lockdown. The children will now help the country recover by planting thousands of baby oak trees in Glasgow.
Children will be taught about the importance of natural solutions in tackling climate change through a series of dedicated events combined with tree growing. We are also teaming up with the Glasgow Science Centre to bring exciting new online resources to schools and families.
As little acorns themselves, we want to fire up school children’s imaginations and grow their confidence that no one is too small to make a difference.
Your money will be used to create a Glasgow Children’s Woodland; help develop educational resources, transport the primary school children to the site to plant their baby oak trees and support the dedicated school events and workshops. We ultimately want to inspire hope and bring nature into children's homes through music, art and song.
Together we will create a wonderful legacy for the UN Climate Summit in Glasgow and be a beacon of hope to the rest of the world.
Thank you from all the team at The Lost Woods.
