We are sure that you will have heard the terribly sad news that our dear friend, grassroots football legend and Retford FC Club Vice President, Martin Keeton, also known as Buster, passed away suddenly on Sunday 24th October 2021 at his home.

The empty space that has been left is immeasurable to all of Martin's family, friends, the Retford FC club and all that knew him.

Martin has always been a footballing man and a champion of local, grassroots football for most of his life. He devoted his life over the last five years to the success of Retford Football Club, putting his heart and soul into supporting the club, players and all involved.

He was a proud man who lived and breathed football, chatting to anyone and everyone making all feel welcome whether playing home or away.

Retford Football Club, with the support of Martin's family, are going to build 'The Martin Keeton Stand' down at The Rail in tribute to our dear friend Buster. Following the outpouring of love and fond memories that have been shared since his passing, we would like to ask our local community to help us in building

an incredible stand in Martin's memory.
