Temwa Mwanda is 15 years old very intelligent, lives in Mzimba Malawi, she is the 4th born in the family of 6. The mother is very poor and has mental health issues and the father abandoned the family years back. Temwa was selected in August 2018 to go to St Mary's girls Catholic Secondary school in Karonga to start form 1 to form 4 (4 years ). The school is approximately 5 hours driving by bus from her village. Temwa failed to attend due to lack of tuition fee which is £300 per year (£300 x 4 years = £1200), pocket money (transport and personal items), uniform @ £17 (17 x 4 years= £64) and school shoes @ £20 (x 4 years= £80). Secondary school education in Malawi is not free and there is no one to pay for her education. If Temwa can get funding she will be the first in her family to get higher education. Temwa lost her place at the school due to non attendance. Well wishers have managed to contact the school and she has been given the place back to start next week. The donation will go straight to Karonga diocese to pay for Temwa's education.
