Our aim is to continually raise money for The Monkey Tree Charity & raise enough money to set up The Monkey Tree Cafe in Evies Memory, we will provide Children with terminal/life limiting desease and their immediate familiy, who are staying at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and The Bristol Childrens Hospital with free meal vouchers so they can come and eat for free at our community cafe whilst staying at the hospital with their loved one. The charity will also provide age appropriate wheelchairs for the children within these hospitals as and when they need them to help them maintain their independance, along with other resourses they may requure.

Our aim is to obtain a property within a few minutes walk to the BRI to set up The Monkey Tree community Cafe, it will provide a warm cosy enviroment to eat/drink/talk in a space that is welcoming and private, with spaced out seating where people can talk freely without being overheard by others, these are just some of the things that as a family we struggled to find throughout our short stay with Evie At the BRI.

Our future aim is to continue fundraising to keep the charity up and running and to eventually provide other resourses including some family accommodation, a 'home from home' for those families with childen staying in the hospital.

Evie spent a few weeks in the BRI receiving treatment for an extremely rare, terminal cancer diagnosis. Unfortunately, the large tumour behind Evie‘s heart caused her to have various health complications and she had to be placed into an induced coma, sadly after 6 days it was decided to remove Evies life support and she passed away just 3 weeks after her diagnosis. she fell asleep peacefully with her family all around her aged just 16yrs.

We all miss Evie more than any words can ever explain. loosing a child is something no one should ever have to cope with.

We are hoping that by setting up this amazing charity in Evie’s memory, and by opening the community cafe for all to use, We can provide support for other families going through similar situations , and by doing this we will honour our beautiful girls memory.
