Story
The Morning After Theatre Company offers a safe, fun and expressive space for attendees to access support and learn new skills, build confidence, and develop tools to support wellbeing through the art of theatre.
The Morning After Theatre Company is completely non-profit, Any Funds Donated will go directly into making sure can cover our over-heads, and to allow for us to expand what we offer and bring in outside experts, such as Drama and Art therapists to help with sessions. We would like to put on shows, do theatre trips with the group members, and expand the scheme so we can reach more people who need this service.
Participating in the Arts is widely recognised to help people in recovery express their emotions, improve their self-esteem, relieve stress, and to process trauma and most importantly to feel empowered and connected. Our aim is to reach people who have been marginalised from mainstream society due to substance misuse and associated lifestyles, by providing a specifically focussed, accessible and non-judgmental opportunity to engage in our community of people with similar experiences, we hope to bring this group gently out from the shadows into 'The Morning After'.
