I've raised £500 to The Maxi Fun Club

I will be running the Hull 10k on June 10th 2018 to raise money to support The Maxi Fun Club, a charity close to my heart that supports my family. My younger sister Keeya has autism, the club gives her an opportunity to enjoy and take part in activites in a safe environment, where she can play freely with my other siblings and parents, allowing them to get the family time they deserve. One of the activities is swimming, an activity Keeya thoroughly enjoys!
The Maxi Fun Club is an charity that organises leisure activites for disabled children and their families in the Hull and the East Riding area. Set up by a group of parents who have trouble accessing family leisure activities for their disabled children and their brothers and sisters.
The Maxi Fun Club is mainly funded by BBC Children in Need with additional funding from private donations.
Children deserve equal opportunities to enjoy activities, the parents of the children often found that inclusive activities where often too busy or too noisy, too rough or not ability appropriate for their child.
The club meet weekly and organise exclusive use or quiet times for the children at the venue of choice chosen by the club members. The club is run voluntarily by parents and carers of the children with no paid staff.
