Two friends, Achilleas and Theofilos, made the decision to follow a childhood dream, to travel the World on a bike.

The original idea is a journey in Europe. Being experienced cyclists, both having the necessary (bicycle and basic clothing, camper and technical equipment), we start on June 1 from Great Britain and more specifically London. We will cross countries such as England, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg and France, knowing cultures, people and surviving in ever-changing circumstances and challenges.

Our plan is this, but there may be continuity, we will see. We are open to the new. We believe that we can do everything by will, power and discipline, so we are opening on the adventure that this choice will bring.

The Perspective

We start this campaign here because we wonder whether unknown people will trust a project that overcomes fear by traveling with us, bringing unity by bridging distances. Solidarity between us would ideally be self-evident, but now we need to discuss or talk about it theoretically, but how capable are we to act upon it? This journey is part of a life's journey to discover and activate values ??that we have forgotten in the fast-paced struggle of everyday life.

The Charity

At the same time, we want to financially support an organization that is doing a huge work in Greece with regard to children in need, "The Smile of the Child" (detailed information about the organization at the end of the text), because as children we all arrive to this world with the qualities of purity and joy without borders.

What is The Smile of the Child?

The idea of "The Smile of the Child" was created in 1995 by 10-year-old Andreas Yannopoulos, who, shortly before leaving from life, expressed in his diary his wish to found an organization that will ensure for all children what he had so generously enjoyed: love, affection, care and respect.

The dream of 10-year-old Andreas became reality and today the Organization "The Smile of the Child", recognized internationally, with a Vision: the Smile of every child, implements nationwide, 365 days a year and 24 hours a day, effective and direct actions for preventing and addressing particular phenomena that threaten children.

In the course of 22 years of action "The Smile of the Child" has supported more than 1.300.000 children and their families. Children victims of any form of violence, missing children, children with health problems, children living in poverty or threatened by poverty, have found a solution.

The Organization is staffed by spezialized scientific personnel, has the precious support of volunteers and is based on citizens and companies that actively provide their support in practice through donations and sponsorships.

The financial data of the Organization is publicized on an annual basis and is audited by International Body of Auditors of Ernst and Young.
