Let’s give Junior a chance to live

Landry Hirwa Hategekimana “Junior” is a young boy who will soon be turning 15 years of age. Born in Rwanda, Junior has always been in good health until the beginning of the year 2016.

Junior’s problems started by having problems in paying attention at school, missing classes (absences) and headaches as well as other complications such as convulsions, seizures and syncopes.

Medical examinations carried out in Rwanda showed that the child had a tumour in the frontal lobe of the brain. After consultations with specialist Doctors in Rwanda and abroad, it is absolutely necessary to perform a brain operation in order to achieve an adequate therapy. This requires a hospital with sufficient technical means to ensure the correct follow up and hope to save the child. Looking at the magnitude of the operation, it will be very expensive.Junior’s family has consulted hospitals in Belgium and other countries about the costs. Operation, hospitalisation and treatment are estimated around 20,000.00Euros. In addition to this, flight tickets for two people and other unexpected coast, the total estimated cost will be around 25,000.00 Euros.

Junior’s parents all alone are unable to afford the cost of this treatment, hence the need for this fund-raising activity.

At the moment, Junior has stopped school. His life is declining physically, intellectually and socially. This young boy, dynamic and joyful in nature is suffering a lot.The action to save him is extremely urgent. Please, help the family save Junior. Let’s give this child a chance to live and a future. Let us be for him and his parent a sign of hope.
