Let’s give Junior a chance to live

Landry Hirwa Hategekimana “Junior” is a young boy who will soon be turning 15 years of age. Born in Rwanda, Junior has always been in good health until the beginning of the year 2016.

Junior’s problems started by having problems in paying attention at school, missing classes (absences) and headaches as well as other complications such as convulsions, seizures and syncopes.

Medical examinations carried out in Rwanda showed that the child had a tumour in the frontal lobe of the brain. After consultations with specialist Doctors in Rwanda and abroad, it is absolutely necessary to perform a brain operation in order to achieve an adequate therapy. This requires a hospital with sufficient technical means to ensure the correct follow up and hope to save the child. Looking at the magnitude of the operation, it will be very expensive.Junior’s family has consulted hospitals in Belgium and other countries about the costs. Operation, hospitalisation and treatment are estimated around 20,000.00Euros. In addition to this, flight tickets for two people and other unexpected coast, the total estimated cost will be around 25,000.00 Euros.

Junior’s parents all alone are unable to afford the cost of this treatment, hence the need for this fund-raising activity.

At the moment, Junior has stopped school. His life is declining physically, intellectually and socially. This young boy, dynamic and joyful in nature is suffering a lot.The action to save him is extremely urgent. Please, help the family save Junior. Let’s give this child a chance to live and a future. Let us be for him and his parent a sign of hope.

How to do it: There are two fundraising accounts in the name of Junior, one in Rwanda and another in Europe (Belgium). Both accounts, for more security, are in the name of Junior with two signatories, a parent and a close relative to the child.Please give any amount you can afford with a reference “Junior operations support”.

HATEGEKIMANA HIRWA Landry, « Junior » pour les intimes, est un jeune garçon de presque 15 ans, né au Rwanda. Au début de l’année2016. Il a commencé par avoir des problèmes d’attention à l’école, des absences, des douleurs dans la tête et des multiples crises avec des convulsions et des syncopes (épilepsies). Des examens médicaux réalisés au Rwanda ont montré que l’enfant avait une tumeur dans le lobe frontal du cerveau. Suite aux avis de plusieurs médecins rwandais et étrangers, il est absolument nécessaire de pratiquer une opération du cerveau afin de pratiquer une thérapie adéquate. Cette opération nécessite un hôpital disposant des moyens techniques suffisants pour assurer un suivi correct et espérer sauver l’enfant. Vu l’ampleur de l’opération, elle sera très couteuse. La famille a demandé plusieurs devis en Belgique et dans d’autres pays. Le cout de l’opération, hospitalisation, traitement s’élèverait 20.000 euro. A cela, il faut ajouter les billets d’avions pour deux personnes et les imprévus. Nous pouvons estimer que toute l’opération couterait 25 000 euro.

Les parents de Junior, tous seuls, ne peuvent pas supporter le coût de l’ensemble du traitement d’où cette collecte de fonds. Pour le moment Junior a arrêté l’école, sa vie décline physiquement, intellectuellement et socialement. Le jeune garçon, dynamique et joyeux de nature souffre beaucoup. Il est extrêmement urgent d’agir. S’il vous plait, aidons la famille à sauver Junior. Offrons à cet enfant une chance de vivre et un avenir. Soyons pour lui et ses parents des signes d’espérance.

Comment faire : il y a deux collectes de fonds au nom de Junior, au Rwanda et en Europe (Belgique). Chaque compte, pour plus sécurités sont au nom de Junior avec deux signataires, un parent et un proche de l’enfant.
