Story

In September 2022, the province of Sindh in Pakistan and its surrounding areas were destroyed by horrific floods, which completely wiped-out hundreds of villages including homes and livestock. Our co-founder Faiz Ahmad was out on the ground aiding disaster relief.

In April 2023, The Pure Hands Foundation have launched their first project, the 'Pakistan Flood Relief Housing Programme'. With your support we will be building homes for families who lost everything during these floods.

Majority of the homes were mud constructed houses, which meant the heavy rain had detrimental impact, and most were destroyed completely. There are currently families of up to 15 people living in tents or handmade shelters.

Our aim is to transform this community by building brick constructed homes for as many families as possible, these are 15ft x 15ft rooms for a husband, wife, and children. For each wider family we will build a communal washroom, which will have a toilet and shower and allow privacy and comfort. If the area does not have a fresh water supply, we will also install a water pump to ensure safe and clean drinking water.

We will provide safe and secure homes, that will be long lasting and resilient to future harsh weather conditions should they occur. Insha'Allah

Please note: This fundraiser is ZAKAT APPLICABLE, therefore take this opportunity in Ramadan to fulfil your zakat requirements with us and help us help humanity one smile at a time :)
