Hi.....my name is Theresa and these are my two amazing children, Austin and Sophia. I'll keep a long story short and inform you that we were unfortunately the victim of domestic violence. ....primarily myself being at the brunt of the abuse.....by their very own father. A few years ago we fled our home to escape the awful painful cycle of anger, manipulation, control and terror he caused us only to find ourselves homeless. I lost all the material possessions I had. We started over, fighting our way back to a stable, safe living situation. I succeeded in accomplishing this for our family. We have been in the same rental home over three years, have a running vehicle, I have worked same job since we started out and have a deep love for one another. Over the years, I have been able to keep our bills paid on time and we were living very comfortably.......between my pay and support collected by the state from their fathers paycheck. ....he refused to voluntarily pay. Last August, their father gave them another hard blow when he impulsively and selfishly decided his children were not worth sticking around for anymore. He drove back to his home state of NY, abandoning the children completely, without so much as a hug goodbye or a phone call. We lost our child support income, my son suffered with behavioral issues at school because he was hurt so badly and I was unable to work often because he would be sent home from school and I became extremely overwhelmed.....I now had complete responsibility for the children and their needs....emotional and financial...with no time to care for myself. I almost had a breakdown, however, I realize I must be strong for the children. I'm all they have right now. Over the last year, we have fallen behind with our bills. Including rent, and affording adequate food at times. My rent is again late...still unpaid for last month as I write this because while my now 5 yr old daughter was hospitalized for an infection, my water was s
