    Story

    The Rossathon

To honour my brother’s life, Ross Keenan, on the 24th February 2022, Ross's 34th birthday, I will be running 34 kilometre’s up Snowdon.

"The Rossathon" is a kilometre for every year he made his friends and family burst out in laughter, for every year he put himself above others, for every year he put his arm around my shoulder and told me “Little brother, it’s all going to be alright”.

And unfortunately, the year of 2021 where he is not with us.

It’s with great sadness to share that Ross, like thousands of others every year, lost the battle against their mental health.

Ross was a father, a son, a brother, a partner and a best friend.

His greatest attribute was his heart, no matter the odds or the adversity, he charged headfirst, standing up for himself and others, always picking the underdog.

He was the most loyal friend, a person with unconditional love, who you could call on whatever the situation.

I cannot put into words how much he meant to me and my family, how much his passing has destroyed us but knowing my brother, I know he would want us to carry on and keep moving forward with him in our hearts.

In everything we do, we can show love, compassion, empathy and above all else, forgiveness. If you ever find somebody in desperation, with black clouds surrounding them, you show them how much you care, how much they mean to you and if they don't listen, you never stop fighting for them, you never give in, you never quit.

That's who Ross was, he was always there for me.

I will be raising money for an amazing organisation called the Jordan Legacy, run by a passionate founder called Steve Philip who is tackling suicide headfirst, with the mission of preventing other families having to experience the trauma of losing a loved one to suicide.

Thank you Jordan Legacy, thank you Steve.

I, your family and friends will forever love you Ross.

Dependant on the days weather conditions (Heavy Snow) the date may be pushed back.
