In Congo, mothers are held captive, cramped in small rooms alongside other women and their new born babies as a result of being unable to afford their maternity fees. Childbirth fees range from £8 - £15 for an uncomplicated birth to £120 for a C-section - a significant amount in a place where people survive on less than £1.60 a day. For the price of lunch, we can regain the freedom of a mother in Congo.
This December, from the 14th - 31st, members of our UK-based Salvage Africa Project Team will be in DRCongo executing this mission. Please help us raise money to make a real difference in the life of a mum.
