Story
Your support means the world to us.
As a team of local collaborators and community groups within our rural village, we are on a mission to raise £2,000 to provide lunch and entertainment for those who are alone at Christmas through benevolent donations from our supporters.
Last year, we catered for over 50 people thanks to the generosity of local community groups. This year, we intend to make this event even better, however, we need your help to make this happen.
Now, more than ever, we have a collective duty to help vulnerable members in our local communities.
This winter the weather has been forecast as bleak, and for those without central heating or cooking facilities, every contribution you make can create a positive change in the lives of many.
A warm meal.
A Christmas present.
A day spent with social company, joy, and laughter.
We hope that in the spirit of Christmas, we may be able to overcome the social and financial challenges some people are facing by uniting our community forces and resources; and demonstrating our compassion and solidarity with our fellow neighbours.
Many of those we cater to on Christmas Day are above the age of 80. These individuals invested their youth in rebuilding our nation post-WWII and deserve to be heralded for their efforts and treated with love, dignity, and respect.
Please check out our social media from last year to see how far your donations may go, however large or small:

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Your empathy and generosity are very much appreciated.
Warmest wishes,
Natasha Victor (Director of The Social Heritage Project) and
Marc Scully (Chairman of Cranleigh Local Parish Council)
We would like to thank Hans Christian Andersen for the 7ft tree donated this Christmas, From Vivi's Kitchen for cooking the lunches, Surrey County Council for funding the renovations to The Village Hall, and Joanne at The Christmas Decorators for making it all look beautiful.
