Story

Head Chef, Jordan's Run for a Defibrillator at the Steamer Inn

Jordan Freer, the Head Chef at the Steamer Inn is doing a 10 mile run to help raise money for a defibrillator to be installed on the terrace of the pub. The life-saving equipment will be accessible to the local community, and all those who visit Shanklin Esplanade throughout the year.

Jordan decided to take up running to get fit last year. Starting with just running a mile at a time and building up gradually, Jordan now runs several times a week and has taken part in some organised runs to raise money for his chosen charity. Now Jordan has his heart set on helping the Steamer raise funds for a defibrillator to be installed at the pub.

Jordan before he took up running, and after completing a run in Southampton earlier this year.

Jordan will start his run at the Bargeman's Rest, Newport at 10am on Sunday 11th June and his route will take him through Arreton, where he will have a quick rest stop at the Dairyman's Daughter at Arreton Barnes at 10.40am, before continuing to his final destination, the Steamer Inn at noon. His stop and finish times are approximate but the team will be tracking his progress along the way.

Please help Jordan and the Steamer Inn raise money for this vital piece of equipment. Thank you for your support!
