I've raised £2500 to Raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and The Chishaya Boys.

Earlier this year, the ever so funny and loving Louise Chishaya lost her battle with Cancer aged only 38. Along the way Louise and her family were helped by the fabulous charity that is Macmillan, and even now the charity is there to help support the family after she has passed away. Louise was a daughter, a sister, a friend, a Wife and a mother to 3 amazing young children. Cancer is a devastating illness and not only affects the person unfortunate enough to become ill, it also affects and disrupts the lives of the family, affecting to such a degree that is not always recognised, so as a group, "The Three Must Have Beers" Louise's brother and friends have decided to try to support Macmillan and raise some much needed funds for Washington (her husband) and the 3 boys.
Our plan is simple - We want your money! In exchange we are going to challenge ourselves to raise money by doing things that many would think is stupid and rediculous...
Firstly on July 15th Andy will be completing the totally barmy Ironman race. For those of you who are not versed in stupidity this race consist of a Swim for 2.4 miles, a not so leisurely bike ride for 112 miles, then followed by a run for 26.2 miles (That's a marathon). Yes he's nut's, but that's not all...
Secondly on Sunday July 29th 2018 the "Three Must Have Beers" are cycling 100 miles (yes in one day) in the Prudential Ride 100 event from East london then across London and Surrey and then back up in to central London to finish on the Mall. Not only does this sound gruelling, the training involved in the lead up to the event also is no walk in the park. Heard enough to want to give us your dosh??? We'll here's more to convince you...
- Aged 42 - The youngest of the three - Fitness Level 1.5/5 (but compensates with this with charm and charisma) - Jim has done a bit of cycling over the years, but nothing of this magnitude. He is akin more to the use of a TV remote than a bike, and so this really is a challenge. Having previously held a season ticket to the Pie Shop he is determined to give something back so please, please sponsor him with as much or as little as you can afford. Louise's children are brave but they have been dealt a devastating blow, but if Uncle Jim can help their future one teeny tiny bit then this is worth every bit of muscle ache and saddle sores.
- Aged 42 - The baldest of the 3 - Fitness Level 5/5 (probably a bit more but it would go to his head) - Andy is by far the most active, he completed the London Marathon in just over 3 hours, took part in a Half Iron Man challenge last year and so wants to raise money by completing a full Iron Man this year. His current training regime means he spends more time on his bike or running then he does sleeping. He's a focused (annoyingly) generous guy who probably will leave the other two behind but he only wants to give something back to Macmillan and Louise's family so please sponsor him. Sponsoring him may also help decrease the level of his mid-life crisis. *** UPDATE: Andy completed the IronMan in 9hs 49mins and came 83rd out of approx. 2500 people. Well done Andy! ***
- Aged 42 - The oldest of the 3 - Fitness Level 2.4/5 - Phil used to cycle lots in his twenties, but that is a distant memory which makes this even more of a challenge. Determined he definitely is, but he is generally not comfortable with long bouts of exercise, Phil is more at home with consuming some refreshments than on a long bike ride. He recently has been affected by Cancer not only with Louise but also with a close family member who is currently undergoing treatment. Please dig deep and help encourage Phil's training by sponsoring him and helping us reach our target. - Remember if you sponsor Phil he will actually have to do the bike ride so please challenge him...
We're simply asking for your support, we're going to be doing the hard work for you, so you don't have to. These causes are worthy of every penny you can spare so please dig deep and click the donate button!
Help us help them. Thank you for your support.
