On Sunday 9th of July, I am taking part in the 60 mile Manchester to Blackpool bike ride to raise money for The Toy House charity. Based in Flixton, The Toy House is a communal hub which provides a fun and safe non-judgemental environment for all our visitors. Some of our visitors are disabled and, if necessary, we adapt our environment to meet their differing needs to ensure they benefit from their visit. Adults can enjoy a cup of tea and a natter, whilst children are entertained by the various exciting specialised resources. The Toy House provides support and encouragement for families, enabling the children to 'learn through play' and reach their true potential.The Charity is run by a hardworking dedicated team including disabled volunteers who are gaining valuable, supportive work placements.
