Story

As part of the North East Lincolnshire Football Development plan our site at The Trin Centre, Trinity Road in Cleethorpes has been identified as a site that requires the maintenance work to become usable again.

Locally Cleethorpes has very little facilities for football especially all weather surfaces. In order for the community to benefit from using this facility we need to carry out the following in order to bring it up to standard:

- 3G surface

- 4 Meter High Fencing with net roof to contain the ball. This will prevent disruption to our neighbours but also prevent from people accessing the facility unsupervised.

- Repairs to the floodlighting (cables currently vandalised)

This complete works will cost £100,000. We hope to raise £20,000 in the hope of securing £80,000 to complete the project.

Current state of the facility in the pic above. Worn and ripped playing surface, no floodlights which means it is unplayable.

Who will benefit from this facility? This facility will be for the purpose of recreational football. This will include socially isolated groups, walking football, disability football, female only participation and programmes to help combat mental health. The facility will also be available for local grass roots team to train on and local 5 a side tournaments.

The site also boasts a cafe, bar and community hub which will be the ideal location to develop the social aspects of our project. Football is obviously a very popular sport and social activity and this facility will be all inclusive for everybody to enjoy.

To show your support for this facility please help by donating. Not only will the donation really help towards our target but also demonstrates that there is a need in our area and the community want to support it.
