Story

The Unlikely Mummy's Story!

Last year, we ran to prove something simple: no mum should feel alone in her mental health journey.

This year, we’re going further.

Across three iconic events — London Landmarks , The Big Half and Royal Parks Half Marathon, with 29 runners are stepping up for The Unlikely Mummy. That’s 29 individual stories, 29 commitments, and one shared mission: to show up for mums and families when they need it most.

Together, we’re aiming to raise £5,000 to keep vital support accessible, inclusive, and community-led.

Because support shouldn’t depend on who you are, where you come from, or what you can afford.

Why this matters

The Unlikely Mummy exists because too many mums are struggling quietly.

With your support, we can provide:

• Free counselling for mums and families who need someone to listen

• Safe, culturally aware spaces where people feel seen and understood

• Peer-led walks, groups and clubs that reduce isolation and rebuild confidence

• Workshops that support healing, growth, and everyday wellbeing

This isn’t theory. This is real, lived experience turned into real support.

The challenge

Running a half marathon isn’t easy. It takes discipline, resilience, and a lot of early mornings.

But doing it knowing you’re helping someone feel less alone? That changes everything.

Every mile we run is for someone who needs support but doesn’t know where to turn.

A little extra thank you

To show our appreciation, every donation will be entered into a draw to win a £50 voucher.

Just pop your name and the runner you’re supporting when you donate.

Be part of this

Your donation isn’t just a number.

It helps someone access support.

It helps someone feel heard.

It helps someone keep going.

If you believe in community, compassion, and real change we would love you to stand with us.

Please give what you can and share this page.

Together, we go further.

And if you can’t donate, sharing this page helps just as much.
