Story

The Wheels Foundation is a charity set up by Sam Harper-Miller to help disabled people in need of equipment to improve their quality of life and perhaps change it entirely.

Sam has been living with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy for the last 28 years. In early 2017 Sam decided to raise funds to help him get a new state of the art power chair to increase his independence and comfort. Through various community events and an expedition to the top of Mount Snowdon, Sam was able to raise £17,000. His focus now is to raise funds to help others in similar situations get the equipment they need.

The Wheels Foundation will be using this page as a temporary donation platform while the charity set up is completed. The foundation itself is run by a group of volunteers, each with their own vital role in making Sams dream of giving back to the public a reality. It relies on corporate sponsorship to help fund the bare necessities of any events and expeditions, with anything left over going in to the charity where it is needed for helping others.

This year Sam and his team will be tackling Britain's highest peak, Ben Nevis. This will be the official launch of The Wheels Foundation and a key fundraiser to get the charity off the ground.
