I've raised £2000 to Support democracy and political engagement amongst young people in the UK!

The Youth Vote is an organisation devoted to increasing voter turnout amongst young people. Historically, those within the 18-24 age bracket vote in a lower proportion than all other age groups in the UK.
Young people are the future of the UK by virtue of their youth. It's important that their opinions, whatever they are, are listened to and respected. The first step in this process is getting them into polling stations.
The Youth Vote UK organises events and campaigns across the UK dedicated to achieving this goal. Whether it's the general, Scottish, Welsh, or local elections, we're here to help increase the youth vote.
The Youth Vote UK is currently preparing for the upcoming May elections, which include Mayoral, Local and Devolved Parliament elections. Our plans to increase young voter turnout in these elections include online events, social media campaigns, producing engaging content aimed at a young audience and much more!
The Youth Vote UK is run entirely by volunteers, however some of our planned activities cost money, including promoting social media content, design and website hosting subscriptions, online event platform subscriptions and more.
By supporting us, you will help cover these costs, allow us to grow as an organisation and help young people's voices to be heard!
Historically, young people the lowest voter turnout of any age group. Therefore, their views and opinions on policy often aren't considered to be as important as other age groups.
If we increase the number of young people engaging in democracy and turning up to vote (regardless of who they vote for), then the voices of young people are amplified. This will lead to better conversations and policies that benefit everyone in society, because everyone's views are being equally heard and represented.
