A period of rehabilitation forced him to lay down his guitar, possibly indefinitely! But, musically frustrated, after just 2 months, Wim picks up the axe again to follow a painful daily routine of exercise and rehabilitation, in order to adapt to his new found physical condition. The feeling in Wims' right thumb and bicep had almost gone, so vital for a guitarist. After going through a psychological process of acceptance, he slowly gains enough confidence to play a few small gigs.Gaining strength from the love and appreciation shown by his audiences, Wim begins to rise again, proving his grit and determination over and over again, in the face of such devastatingly adversity.

Dear Wim Roelants fans.

I am asking for your help.

‘Firstly, let me introduce myself. I am Wims’ friend and promoter Suzi- G owner of HotBird Music Promotions UK. I am lucky enough to occasionally work alongside the UK ‘Indie Rock band’ Kasabian as I live with their chief Roadie Rick Graham. But, mainly I work with local bands in and around Leicester. However, Wim is an Artist I stumbled across in Tenerife, after a perchance meeting, in one of Tenerife’s many bars. He eventually owned up to being a musician after trying to tell me he was an accountant! I have to be honest, I took this tenuous link to being a real musician with the usual Tenerife ‘pinch of salt’ until I heard him play guitar….WOW! It was then, that I stopped being on holiday and went straight back into music promoter mode! I was hooked and since then, determined to get this man heard by the right people. I can’t leave him to struggle on, on his own, any longer. So here we go! Wim has always shied away from the crowd funding idea, because he hates to ask for help. But I thought that if you were made aware of his plight, you might like the opportunity to get involved. Like you, I strongly believe Wim to be an exceptionally talented Guitarist. He really does deserve to be heard by a much wider audience and given a better chance of being spotted by a label. But this can only be achieved through the production of an album to showcase his songs ’on social media.

Wims’ talent, his endless enthusiasm and magnetic personality, have got him a long way. But, he needs the support of financial backing, to get him to the next step. For several months now Wim has been in talks’ with promises of sponsorship for his upcoming album, only to be let down at the last minute, by the somewhat fickle, music industry. He now has 12 superb, newly composed songs, ready to be recorded. This is where you, come in.

£11,000 will cover the cost of music production by putting us in a position to hire, a quality recording studio, superb session players and a professional sound engineer, in order to produce an album to the standard, Wims' music deserves.

It will also cover, the cost of producing the CD, MP3’s, Graphic Design, Social Media advertising and the marketing needed, to promote an album.

We may even be able to stretch to a couple of nicely shot videos, to put Wim in a position to realise his dream and release his album to the world!
