    Story

Thirsk Ukraine Aid Support - Can you help?

The people of Thirsk have come together to source much needed aid for Ukraine. Donations are being collected at Unit 7, Marrtree Industrial Estate, Sowerby, Thirsk YO7 3HF

Local people and businesses have joined forces to organise the transport and logistics of delivering these donations to Ukraine with vans, trailers and drivers pledged by Thirsk businesses.

    Want to get involved?

Please donate if you can and help fund the cost of fuel and ferry tickets. We've calculated that it will cost £1250 for each van we send, we are hoping to send a lot! Help us reach our goal and help those in need. Any additional funding will be used to purchase further provisions and aid.

Vans from Thirsk are hoping to set off on Monday 7th March.

    We need the following items:

    - Food (Fruit mousses, yogurts in tubes, cookies, bars, children's juices in plastic bottles, baby bottles, baby formula, protein bars, canned food)

    - Hygiene products (Nappies, wet wipes, sanitary items - pads and tampons, toilet paper, disinfection products, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toothpaste and toothbrushes, shaving kits)

    - Linen (Camp beds, sleeping mats/yoga mats, sleeping bags, bedding, towels, blankets, duvets and pillows)

    - First Aid (Bags, dressings, gloves, bandages, painkillers, cough and cold medicine, children's medicines)

    - Clothing (Brand new. Winter gloves and hats for children and adults, socks, thermals, socks and shoes)

    - Electronics (Power banks, torches, batteries)

    - Other (Candles, plastic cutlery and bowls, hand and foot warmers)

Please don't bring bags of mixed things - pack them separately to save time at the donation centre. Please don't bring out of date food, old or dirty clothes - we need life saving stuff!
