Tom was born with Club feet (bilateral talipes). Which is when your lower limbs are deformed, meaning your legs, feet and toes are turned severely inwards. Tom had to undergo 12 operations to rectify these problems, including metal work, fusion of joints and ilizaroth frames. Whilst he was growing up, contact sports were out of the question and operations continued until he was 13 years old. His father thought to try his hands at golf, since then Tom has never looked back. Playing golf at Druids Heath GC for many years now, he has been able to adapt to play the game. Back in 2017 he got called up to play for the England disabled golf team, making his debut against France. Being undefeated in Dunkirk himself, ensured the team beat France keeping the trophy (picture below)

During 2018 Tom gained a wealth of experience playing in several Disabled Golf championships; Finishing 5th at the English Open and 4th at the flagship EDGA event, The Portugal Masters. These finishes have ensured his place for the England Disabled Squad for 2019/20 seasons, only 8 players make the team.

He has just been given his highest world ranking to date off the back of these performances, currently standing at number 33 in the World**. As a 5-handicap golfer competing on the biggest stage in Disabled golf, Tom's ambition is to break through the top 20 in the World bracket by the end of the season, ensuring a top 5 status in England.

Tom's main goal is to be in Team GB when golf gets into the Paralympic Games. For him to be successful he will be required to travel across Europe competing in qualifying events. To enable him to enter all the below tournaments he would welcome any support that he gains and for you to join Tom on his journey.

Other funding includes towards equipment, membership and coaching.

Being selected for the national side for the next 2 years means he will be playing against France later this year, for the return leg in London. For Tom to make the England team for the European Team Championships (which are every 4 years), he needs to gain a top 7 place finish in the French Open. Achieving this will be a dream come true for him!
